More Grant Money Arrives!

The Club are once again delighted to announce that a further cheque has landed through the Chairman's letter box.

This time a contribution from the Notts Cricket Board has arrived as part of the funding for the new roller which will be here in plenty of time for the new season next year.

It is said that things come in three's and all being well there should be a further announcement shortly. Watch this space!

The Club would like to thank the Notts Cricket Board for their assistance in this matter.

Grant Money Received!

The Club are delighted to announce that a cheque for five thousand pounds has been received from the Nottinghamshire Community Foundation.


The money will be put towards the new nets project at the bottom end of the ground.

The Nottinghamshire Community Foundation is an independent charity, set up to encourage philanthropy for the benefit of the people in Nottinghamshire. Their unique approach to philanthropy allows individuals and businesses to support their own specific local interests and causes and in doing so invest in the future of their community.

The Club are very grateful for the grant and sincerely thank the NCF for their support & help.

Newark Alliance Fixtures 2010.

With the 2009 season barely history, the fixtures for next seasons campaign in Division 4 of the Newark Alliance have already been finalised.

The season kicks off with an away fixture at West Bridgfordians on Sunday 25th April & finishes against the same opposition on Sunday 12th September. The full fixture list can be seen on the fixtures/results page or by looking at the 2010 calendar.

Erectors - Help Required!

As many of you are already aware, GLA is due to increase in size for the 2010 season.

Next Saturday (14th November) from 9am, help is required at the ground to assist in the erection of a new perimeter fence at the bottom end of the ground. If you can spare a few hours of your time please come up to the ground & bring a spade with you.

The more hands - the quicker the erection!

Award Winners 2009

A splendid turnout of around 60 at the presentation dinner saw the annual awards handed out to the recipients last night.

Special mention to Brinsley Kirkham for his outstanding performance for the first team on taking 6-65 against Gedling & Sherwood.

150 Club - October Draw

The final draw was made at the presentation dinner at Ramsdale GC last night.

The lucky winners were:

• Number 11 T.Hacker winning 90 pounds
• Number 82 David Fraser-Darling winning 55 pounds
• Number 61 David Fraser-Darling winning 35 pounds

Thank you to everyone who has taken part in this years draw. Remember the weekly tote draw carries on throughout the winter - draw made every Monday, winner takes away 30 pounds.
